  • General questions about your studies

The following offices provide advice and further assistance:

    • Central Student Advisory Service (ZSB): Assists prospective students with decision-making processes, provides advice on responsibilities, and helps with questions about social, financial, or legal aspects of student life.
    • The ombudsperson for good teaching should be contacted in the event of serious problems with a person or institution. • Psychological-Therapeutic Counseling for Students (ptb)
    • Equality Office: Provides advice on family-friendly study and working conditions or gender mainstreaming measures, among other things, and helps in cases of sexual harassment.
    • AStA Department for Studies and Student Councils
  • In special circumstances
  • On exam administration or enrollment status

The following offices provide advice and further assistance:

    • Enrollment Office (I-Amt): The I-Amt should be contacted for study applications, enrollment (for studies or doctoral programs), changes to the course of study (leave of absence, de-registration, etc.), or re-registration for the following semester. It also provides information on fees and charges and any exemptions that may apply.
    • Academic Examination Office (APA): The APA is responsible for the entire examination organization for all degree programs in the Faculty of Arts, including registration procedures, grade recording, acceptance of applications, granting of admissions and non-admissions to examinations, deadline monitoring, and the preparation and issuance of certificates and notifications.

If you are unsure who to contact, please contact the Dean of Studies Office of the Faculty of Humanities. If possible, avoid contacting different departments at the same time with questions or problems.
