Steffen Eckhard was previously the professor of Public Administration & Public Policy at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen. His research and teaching focus in particular on the management of public organizations, the interaction between government and society, and issues of policy design and implementation in national and international administrative systems.
At the Institute of Political Science, he will represent and further develop the Public Administration and Politics research and teaching area. Key areas of focus include the analysis of public organizations, the functioning of administrative systems, and current challenges in government governance, such as those arising from digitalization and artificial intelligence in public administration.
