Funding Line 1: Promoting Young Researchers – Mobility
1. Objective
The mobility grant enables master's students, doctoral candidates, and postdocs to actively participate in conferences when their own institute or other funding sources (e.g., DAAD, graduate academy) are not available or only partially available. For master's students, co-financing of 50% by the home institute is generally expected.
2. Application
Any young researcher (master's, doctoral, postdoctoral) is eligible to apply.
3. Form and deadline
Applications can be submitted at any time. To ensure timely processing, it is recommended that applications be submitted at least four weeks before the start of the trip.
4. Scope
Funding is based on the actual costs incurred and itemized in the cost plan for accommodation, travel to and from the conference, and conference fees. Per diem allowances cannot be covered. For travel within Germany, the maximum funding amount is generally €400.00; within Europe, the maximum funding amount is generally €800.00; and for travel outside Europe, the maximum funding amount is generally €1,200.00.
5. Obligations
By submitting an application, you undertake to carry out the trip and to submit a statement of expenditure afterwards. If you do not take the trip, you must notify us of your withdrawal in writing.

Funding Line 2: Promoting Young Researchers – Workshops and Conference Organization
1. Objective
This funding line enables doctoral students and postdocs to organize/hold their own conferences and workshops if their own institute or other funding bodies (e.g., DAAD, Graduate Academy) are not available or only partially available.
2. Application
In principle, any young researcher (doctoral student, postdoc) is eligible to apply.
3. Form and deadline
Applications can be submitted at any time. To ensure timely processing, it is recommended that applications be submitted at least three months before the conference is held.
4. Scope
Funding is based on the actual accommodation, honorarium, and/or travel costs incurred and itemized in the cost plan. The maximum funding amount is generally €1,000.
5. Obligations
By submitting an application, you commit to holding the conference and subsequently submitting a statement of expenditure. If the conference is not held, this must be reported in writing.
